That whole situation is what finally broke me, methinks. I didn't mind the invasion, or Dunccan's regency, to be quite honest. Sure, he was difficult to deal with, it always sucks losing, etc, etc, so on and so forth. The breaker was how so few of us actually pulled through, sucked it up, and tried to make Mercinae work. I'll tell you, it sucks being one of like three or four people out of 10+ active cits doing anything beneficial towards unity and activity. How people who busted their humps managed to hold out as long as they did, I'll forever marvel over. Of course, Mercinae was my second flop city. Springdale, when I was a cit, was no walk in the park, either.
Dah well. What's done is done. I'm not surprised Mercinae was invaded a second time. It's the misfortune of being the weakest, least organized, most apathetic city in Avalon. Hopefully this time, people will wake up and actually make a city out of that good ol' southern bastion of all that is Good.
