Wow, i can't believe that would happen, especially to someone like Narissa, or anyone else, for that matter.

Dissapointing Thakia's gone downhill in social stature, while somewhat rising in combat. And saying Thakria' gone down socially is saying something, considering how most others view it.

I think it's more of a small situation that's been blown out of proportion due to poor communication.
I see Nari's side and I think it was a hasty move by Mohrion. On the other hand, warfare is upon us and I don't think anyone can really take any chances.
A simple tell or two could have prevented it though.

People shouldn't be ejecting people, especially inactive ones, because they suspect someone's logging in a fake character or whatever (although, his suspicions and "proof" doesn't even make sense if what he feared was treachery instead of, I dunno, some paranoia that maybe I'd want back his treasured Prince role...of which I have no interest in). If someone's cheating and using multiple characters and shit like that, leave it to the gods to handle.

Narissa's got no reason at all, from what I've seen and known of her since before I was even subbed to avalon as a newborn, to ever betray Thakria. Smells like Mohrion just feels competition with Narissa coming on, which is a highly unjustified reason to oust anyone, especially with the 'never again' clause he put onto it, which is absurd.

Out of left field, I know, but I have to point out:

Considering Narissa's less-than-stellar record over the years with keeping characters separate (both among her friends and the characters of her enemies) I think Mohrion's reponse is perfectly reasonable and not even really metagaming by definition.

In fact, you "recruiting" a noob friend from Springdale that you know in RL (or don't know, I don't really care) is more metagaming than using in-game mechanics to gauge character integrity.

Point being, Narissa calling someone out for cheating or metagaming is really one of the more approriate descriptions for the phrase "pot calling a kettle black".

Sup, Pahn! Glad you are frequenting these OOC boards. What's that? I think I heard a newbie bard posting against one of Pahn's enemies, signing his post as Pahn? Pot kettle indeed. At least I can remember who I'm logged in as.

With warfare active now, wouldn't it be even more metagaming to recruit a friend to play with you, but have that friend stay in an enemy city to pass intelligence?

If it's going to get people this upset, then maybe I shouldn't try to recruit my RL friends after all ><.

Err. You're young. I'll forgive you for not knowing, but I led Thakria for over 2 RL years. Check my help file. It's hardly an enemy city for me.

Edit: Unless you're saying, keep your friend in an enemy city and suck them dry for info, in which case, all I can say is that I didn't even know he was gonna play. All I did was rave about Avalon a lot, until one day he was like, sup, I made a newb. Guide me. He wanted to be Thakrian on his own, I just logged in to make it easier for him, impatient brat. <3

No lol. I rave about being a knight ;).

I thought it was something about recruiting a novice from Springdale that they were shouting about.

Roleplaying has always been shorted in Avalon. There are a lot of people that like to talk about OOC stuff publicly. A few people, like Narissa try to make an effort to keep IC, but other people just don't seem to catch the subtle hints, or just don't care.

You try to RP and start a fued with someone based on IC reasons and they flip out and think you're a horrible person <insert rant and rave here>. Everyone takes things to seriously, and yet not seriously enough if that makes sense.
You can run....but you'll just die tired.
