I'm 32 , in the Portland, Maine area. Also working as a hospital security officer on the night shift, so I get to see it all. I'm married and have 2 kids, the wife is almost done with her senior year in college ( Teaching Major ). The kids are crazy, and life in general is crazy. So if I seem distracted in game, it's probably because I'm putting out a "fire" somewhere. See ya'll in game !

Well, I must admit learning about the real people behing the characters has been pretty interesting stuff.

I may as well divulge...

Name's Adam, I'm 26, living in the middle of nowhere in Wales, and I'm a computer techie. Though clearly I spend most of my time doing less.... productive things.

My dreams are to travel and oneday bring up a wolf cub whilst living a peaceful life far from the idiocy of the majority of mankind....

What I will tell is known already to many.

I can confirm that I am female in RL as well as my character. 

I live on an island not far from Athens in Greece. We don't always have a good Internet connection here so if I drop out in the middle of a conversation or fight with you, it is not (just) that you are boring me or beating me. ..

My patron in Avalon is Proteus and my RL work is connected with the sea. I live 200 metres from the shore.

When not working or in Avalon, I sail, walk my dogs, and paint.

The first ever Avalon Wales meet!

Well, not the first ever... The first ever Wales meet was August 2004 and was more a weekend away for a rainy bank holiday.
 
We were invited to stay at someone's parents caravan park in the middle of nowhere, the idea being bar-b-q's, country pubs and rambles.
 
Turned out it just rains and rains in Wales. Oh we saw some sheep too 
 
Anyway... the event went rather downhill for me when I walked in to find my boyfriend rolling around the floor wrestling and playfighting with the hostess.
 
You know in the movies when everything thing slows down and the hero goes 'nooooooooooooooooooo'?
 
Well time did stand still rather. Tempted though I was swear like a trooper,  pull her hair, poke out her eyes, scratch her face and kick her head in right there and then, I remembered my manners and that I was a guest - and it was 1am in the pouring rain a field in the middle of nowhere. So as time sped up again I fixed my best wan smile and said "Do you mind keeping the noise down?"

So Wales... not the best memories for me...  but the story does have a good ending they lived happily ever after which is good for them (seriously, I'm a romantic).

I've not fully posted about myself for years. The last one was in the old Guildhouse forums. A little peek for all the new faces:

I'm 25, graduated from university a few years back with a BA titled "Imprints on Time: The Verbal, Physical and Ideological Record" which was essentially an interdisciplinary (science, history, politics, lit, mythology) study of perceptions of past and present, and how marks are left on the past. During my 4 years in college, I travelled a lot, spending time in various part of Europe, as well as 6 months in Mongolia studying post-Soviet reconstruction of democracy (with a side look at paleotology. Yes, I got to play with raptor skeletons in Ulanbataar).

During university I hooked up with someone some of you might know - the player behind Krill/Circe. Our relationship is probably the biggest reason for Parrian and later Thakrian military/political triumphs. SOI battles are fairly nice when you can go into the next room and prod the person taking over your shift to wake up. ^_^ Plus, working with someone you love makes the endeavors rather fun and fantastic. After several years of dating, I moved to London and lived with him for over a year, becoming the tipsy fixture at the Round Table meets.

We broke up nearly a year ago, partially because I needed to start my career and needed to be in the US to do that. So, back I moved to Southern California and, after a few tries, I've done just that. I now work for SCEA (ie, Sony) moderating and testing patches and real-time environments for their online PS3 games. Ie, I play video games for a living (with an eye to eventually becoming a creative writer/designer for games). I love my job and could be potentially considered a workaholic - which is one reason I am not around so much. It -is- possible to get gamed out.

Anyways, that's me!

Hmm thought I'd posted in here but clearly not, must have been on the old forums. Anyways, I'm Louise, started playing Avalon in 1999 and after losing the password for the first character I created - back in the days of pay per hour - I made Mirrigold and played her right up until my little disagreement with Mephisto.

I'm 38 now, I am also, technically, still married to Keldor, but we split up back in Feb 2005 and I'm waiting out the divorce time. I have a nearly 10 month old little boy, James, and his dad has never played Avalon and cannot understand my addiction to and obsession with a game I haven't now played properly for more than four years.

I'm a journalist by profession, 20 years now, but I'm not working and am loving being a stay at home mum. I mostly play MMOs these days, WAR being my game of choice at the moment but Lothar going back to Avalon may tempt me back again as he's one of my best friends after meeting him all those years ago in the Prophets Guild.

I'm 33, work as the IT manager for a telecommunications provider in London and have 3 kids under the age of four.  I have a lifetime (just the one - honest! ) and really miss the pay-per-hour system!  Been through periods of remission from Avalon addiction, but it's like cancer - there's always a chance it'll come back. 

It's my fault all the meets in London used to take place at the Round House and Round Table.  As this year is the 20th year of Avalon's existence, I''m really rather hoping that people will pull their finger out and we can have a big meet again.

I'm Kate from just outside of Baltimore, MD.  I am indeed a female and married with 2 little pumpkins.  I am a caretaker by profession so when I'm not with the fam, I'm serving the old folks lunch.     I'm 25 years old and have been playing avalon on and off for 10 years (half of that on FA).  Even got my hubby addicted.  When I get time to get out of the house, I love to fish and to camp.  Oh, and I love a good story.  That's me.

I am Aina, 20 summers and female. I live in the beautiful Norway, and I guess I am one of very few from scandinavia, tho I might move to London next autumn. We'll see. Taking a bachelor in graphic designs (isn't that ironic guys?) and just done with 3 years studying music. I sing opera, play the guitar, ukulele and piano. So creativity is my major "thing".

Hey everyone!  My name is Andrew and I'm from the wonderful world of Pennsylvania, US!

I'm 20 years old and currently in the midst of a Music major (sociology minor) in college.  I like to spend free time roleplaying, and when I'm not, I spend my life in front of a piano or staff paper...

...Which isn't to say being a music major sucks or anything; I've got a good outlet playing with my brother in a alt-rock band called the Mazeltov Cocktail, and I like to write instrumental themes for RP characters in my free time.    I am pretty obsessed with Avalon, as I proved last night by falling asleep and getting a full night's rest right there at the desk, while swirling my pan.  Before this game I used to spend a lot of my time on a play by post game called Tazlure, but it closed down and I had a long draught of no role-playing, 'til my friend told me about Avalon and the rest is, well, kind of a boring story!

I've got a twin brother who also happens to be 20 years old, I'm Jewish, and I like to sing, dance, fence, read theological texts, explore the woods, climb trees and do pretty much anything else that is corny or geeky.
