A necrophiliac that isn't evil? I think this is the sort of contradiction people are having trouble grasping....
Thank you Adaryn for pointing out what we all knew and were to afraid to say.

Rajj spends a bit to much time with his demons alone if you ask me. -nod- Some might beg the question (Thanks to Adaryn for bringing this up) that their relationship is... improper. -nods at himself-

I love when these so called "NEW" people act as if they've known me all my life...

Go hang in the trees some more ya smelly bear....

BTW, I did notice you are finally back home in Thakria. Once you go Thak, you always go back!!

Once you go Thak, you always go back!!

Now now, that's isn't always true.
Some people are like Slinkies. They have no practical use whatsoever, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I'm curious, Rajj, what the Necromancers are to be, then. I mean, why found a guild that uses demons, dark magic, reanimated corpses, vampirism and blood magic if you really are aiming to replace it all with sunshine-casting and rainbowmancery?

Oh, wait. You're keeping the skills the same?

I think my point still stands.

You aren't reading very well these days Nari...
Earlier in this thread you blame us for going after JUST the skillset, then when I say we wanted to change the necromancers WITH new skills, you bash us for that too, for fuck's sake make up your mind Miss Bye Polar!

I'll slow it down.

Some of the skills (Charming, Stealth, Evocation) will remain the same, (Demonology, Necromancy) HOPEFULLY will change.
Getting Genesis to change anything now, when warfare is so close is futile.

Keep comin' at me dear, your points are pointless!

Riddle me this, batman- if the necromancers no longer have necromancy, how in the hell are they still necromancers??

This is bullshit.

The point is this, Rajj: No matter what you do, the Necromancers will be about animating dead things which will never, ever have any good points to it at all. You are therefore housed in an city contrary to the underlying, rather permanent, definition of your guild. How do you plan to feasibly rectify that?

You are an idiot, always have been, in any form. Bipolar, you do know what that means yeah? I felt like spelling it differently, sue me.

On your second point, read what I said again, no where and I mean NO WHERE did I say Necromancers will no longer have Necromancy, ya fuckin' retard.
And we will not always be about animating dead things... Get over yourself already!

You want to change Necromancy.... and make it... /good/? Lets examine something... perhaps... the definition of Necromancer

Necromancer:
1. a method of divination through alleged communication with the dead; black art.
2. magic in general, esp. that practiced by a witch or sorcerer; sorcery; witchcraft; conjuration

Ok... lets focus on something here

1.a method of divination through alleged communication with the dead; black art.

Now... how about necromancy

Necromancy:
1.the belief in magical spells that harness occult forces or evil spirits to produce unnatural effects in the world [syn: sorcery]
2.conjuring up the dead, especially for prophesying

I'm seeing a problem with your... LETS MAKE NECROMANCY GOOD! point of view
In your guild-house. Felling your staves.

How would you like to change these skills to make them less evil?

Mind sharing a few examples and such?

RAJJ translator 1000(because no one gave a damn to upgrade it to 2000) reads:  "I am a complete fucktard who can only hurl abuses at people because I can't properly defend against their points. Oh, and I also don't know what the hell a "necromancer" actually is."

Necro=dead. If you will no longer be about dead things, then you won't be necro anymore you idiot. Go buy a dictionary. Go look up 'bipolar' while you're at it because obviously you have no idea what it is and spelling it with 'bye' just made you look like a complete fool, as if this entire conversation didn't already...

edit: Here, I did your work for you-

necromancy
c.1300, "divination by communication with the dead," from O.Fr. nygromancie, from M.L. nigromantia (1212), from L. necromantia "divination from an exhumed corpse," from Gk. nekromanteia, from nekros "dead body" (see necro-) + manteia "divination, oracle," from manteuesthai "to prophesy," from mantis "prophet" (see mania). Spelling infl. in M.L. by niger "black," on notion of "black arts." Modern spelling is c.1550 from attempts to correct M.E. nygromauncy.

Just my 2gp...I think Necromancers for Parrius is legit. As I can see sorcerers being pirates. Think Pirates of the Caribbean and that movie with undead pirates.

However, citizens of Merctown, who worship the God of LIGHT and the God of Justice, should not belong to this guild. RP wise it makes no sense for Merctowners to be necromancers, especially if they keep some of the necromancy skillset (i.e. defiling, turning into vampires, etc.).

Kettle, Pot, Black? I was merely pointing out that you can't fucking read. It is very clear that you interpret what is truly written here to something you want it to say, not actually what it says.

If you have known Narissa as long as I have, then you would know why I said that about her. Is that clear enough for you?

I understand it is hard for you to comprehend anything I say here with your lack of intelligence, so I promise to slow things down for you.

And Adaryn, you obviously bring this up because of RP, yet, when I was an Astrologer and you were mere WEEKS old, your 'other' persona comes out and says I have always sucked as a seer and every other guild. Again, Kettle, Pot, Black, you know the saying.

Do us a favor and shut the fuck up, though I'm not sure you can make yourself look anymore a fool than you already have.

I was using sarcasm, but apparently anything except literal statements hurt poor Rajjy's head.

My point is this: If you plan on changing the evil skills to be non-evil, you erase essentially the entire skillset, keeping only tertiary skills that a handful of guilds already share. If your goal was to create some vivimancer guild, what was the logic of doing so via a profession that is innately and essentially evil?

Ie, that was never the goal, and you guys are just trying to cover your asses now. Poorly. It's a full moon on the horizon.

I think you've been successfully called out for the fraud that you are so I wont try and augment Narissa's comment with other facts.

On the bright side you can take being called evil as a compliment coming from Narissa. As she /is/ the princess of Thakria and arguably the most successful "evil" person in the lands. Granted, she and everyone else has called you a few other things... but lets focus on the good! -thumbs up- ;D

That's the worst part. They aren't even evil, just ineptly wielding evil tools. The whole thing is a hypocritical sham - I would honestly have a lot more respect if they just did admit to the conflict in a Mercinean Necromancer. Trying to deny that necromancy is innately dark and blowing smoke about how they want to use it for good and all that BS just makes them look dumb.

If you need some RP argument (since so much of the necromancer bullshit has been based in RP already...) use some excuse about how wielding the tools of evil darkened the souls of the users.

...and then kick all the necros out of Mercinae. *sagenod*

QFT. Basically that's the gist of it.

@Rajj: Doesn't matter how old I am when your own help file clearly shows that 96% time you only ever stayed with a guild/profession for three weeks tops. It's a miracle you've stomached the 'necromancers' for this long, although clearly it's being led by an ignorant fool.
