-cough-
-licks Rajj-

-wipes the disgusting taste of salt, demon, and blood from his tongue-

Funny how the guild master of the Necromancers is saying that he wants to change the ideals of his guild when the guilds help file still says that they work in the dark arts and are dedicated to the study of them. Odd thing coming from someone who claims to protect the city of light.

I'll give the same excuse the Rangers gave me when they were fighting WITH Thakrians, the sworn enemy of Rangers....

Nah, maybe I won't...

All I can say is we are in a transition stage. You've gotten your help file change but only after many years. Give it time!

Lothar, I'll say it one more time, as evident in your reply, you fail to see many things!

Allow me to make a statement. To my knowledge, Thakrians are not the sworn enemies of the Rangers Guild. We are a city-neutral Guild and allow members from everywhere.

To be proper though, we do have sworn enemies, but on a Guild level- not a city one.
Some people are like Slinkies. They have no practical use whatsoever, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Back in the day, with the old Rangers, and old help file, you were the first defense for Mercinae against Thakria were you not?
I know it was when I was GM. Only recently has it been changed... Recent for me anyways.

I have found that out yes, but there is more to it than that, more changes being worked on and I personally want it all to happen at the same time.

So basically you're saying...
"Yes we /are/ still evil. And yes most of us /are/ in Mercinae. Which actually proves Svar's point."

Anyone hear anything different?

We haven't been the first defense for Mercinae against Thakria since Pahn left the Guild. I changed that back in those days, and I hope to see that maintained today. We are an independent Guild that doesn't bow down to any city.

And if you want the information for why we stopped that ideal is simple: We helped Mercinae many times at our own cost, but Mercinae only ever helped us when it wouldn't cost them even a single gold piece, and would never help us recoup our losses.

I know you aren't, but you were, for a long time, and during that time, there were rangers that fought alongside Thakrians.... but that's in the past.

You had a point?

Right now, the members are free to act how they want. I am not evil, and I am from Mercinae. Saroman is evil and is from Springdale.
Anything else?

A necrophiliac that isn't evil? I think this is the sort of contradiction people are having trouble grasping....
"There is no pain... don't cry anymore..."
"If you want peace... I'll grant it as you've wished..."
"There is no fear... come close..."
"So that you can be untainted... I'll take it all away from you..."
Now there is no one else who can save you
There now, close your eyes" –Gackt/'Maria'

Thank you Adaryn for pointing out what we all knew and were to afraid to say.

Rajj spends a bit to much time with his demons alone if you ask me. -nod- Some might beg the question (Thanks to Adaryn for bringing this up) that their relationship is... improper. -nods at himself-

Trying to claim that necromancers "aren't evil" is simply a weak excuse for a thinly veiled attempt at powergaming. People want the skills, bottom line, and are trying to create some sort of (failed) RP justification for why they should have them.

At least Babidi admitted point blank to why he was a Sorc in Merc (ie, power).

Rajj, the Necromancers are technically evil, and you will always be technically evil. In fact, you cannot deal anything more then mediocre damage without being Evil.
And to get the most powerful skills in your profession you must do something Obviously evil, and associate with the Evil Count Bezejeth.

Saying your not evil is like saying a bear doesn't have fur.

You are dead wrong Narissa, we brought back the Necromancers, made them permanent at a great cost, and are now changing them. You of all people know nothing happens overnight in Avalon.  Gaining those skills were the least of what we wanted, but nice try.
