Narissa: It’s true I’m too young to remember that Bowdyn, but he has been of the ranger profession for quite some time now, and that Bowdyn I did know, and I always remember him either training someone, chatting about fighting tactics, or in a challenge. A lot of Springdalians did and do hide/stay AFK in a temple, but not all of them do, and when Bowdyn was cityless or Springdalian, I can’t ever remember him espousing those ways. He was one of the people who made me proud to remain Springdalian for so long, actually, and made it easy to consume the majority of my time with trade, mining, etc. Few things are worse than working hard and then not having anyone to defend your work, appreciate what you do, and benefit from the resulting product. Bowdyn was not such a lackadaisical person.
Salvador: I can’t say I know the, “new,” Bowdyn. But if he has left Springdale and what he learned there, and the contacts he made there who liked and respected him without any nostalgia or vague regret, then I find that sad. Only Bowdyn can say for sure, but from what I imagine Bowdyn to be, I would classify your evaluation of him as a misrepresentation. But as I said, perhaps it is I just romanticizing a part of Springdale’s history where I felt there was a real chance to turn that town around.
