Rakira Ramsay-Rinato

Rakira's days after Springdale were rough, and life was cruel to the young Loremistress, but through it all, Alister stood by her side. Right now, Alister is all she can think about. Memories of him flash through her mind endlessly. The day they met brings a smile to her face as she recalls him throwing Uwoiame out of his house when she tried to jump her there. The night they began to date follows, their engagement, the glorious wedding amongst the clouds. The building of their palace, the many fights, all the wars of words. Tears stain her cheeks as she recalls all of Alister's enemies killing her to anger her husband. A small voice inside her head asks her why she put up with it, why she fought so hard to defend every part of her husband's reputation and good name. More tears come as she thinks of Lord Mephisto turning him into a statue and hiding him away in his gallery, refusing to let her see him. Another voice nags her, you could have left him there, then none of this would have happened....he never would have met her. Rakira reasons with herself that it was good she begged for his return to Lord Genesis. She loved him and would never have felt complete without him by her side.

Memories of those days fade gently away as she cannot suppress her return from a long adventure in the clouds. Whispers followed her as she walked the land, her friends spoke in hushed voices as she left them. A few brave ones came to her, saying that rumours were circling about her Alister being with another woman. She laughed at the folly of them. Oh, how Avalon did enjoy their gossip! She tried her best to ignore the many people proclaiming him to have cheated on her. Anger made her blood boil as others came forth to say that they would treat her better and take great care of her. How could they use so serious a matter as an excuse to ask her out!? As her anger began to rise, she decided it was time to go back to the clouds and meditate on what she should do.

Upon her return, she made a startling discovery. The rumours she had heard were all true. Tears splattered on their bed as she sat trying to take it all in. He had broken their vows...after all they had been through, he had betrayed her. Hours later she emerged from Alister's palace, forsaking it as her home. She stood in the clouds brooding, trying to decide what her coarse of action should be. As she sat, her fingers mindlessly twirled her wedding band around her finger. She gently pulled the ring off, sighing as she examined the beautiful band. She traced over the inscription Lady Xanthe had placed upon the band and she stopped. Her mind raced as she read the inscription over and over again, mouthing the words. Of course, that was it! This was what she must do, Lady Xanthe, knowingly or not had provided the answer to her problems at the end of that once beautiful inscription. Now, she knew what she must do, plots whirled in her head, ideas coming and going as she tried to find the perfect one to execute. Nothing seemed good enough, for her plan had to be perfect! He had hurt her, and he needed to pay the price for such a great crime as that. Half of her life was stolen by him and he would pay for every moment she wasted on him. Careful, she warned herself, you must not let this consume you; the last thing we need is another crazy woman like Rynn to taint the air. This plan had to work, it had to hurt him beyond repair, yet it could not hurt those she loved and it could not consume her and make her a wretched person swallowed in their grief and anger. She paced as she continued to sift through the many ways to revenge that burned with passionate desires greater than than those before. Soon, she will make that man pay and bring full circle that which he vowed to and wore on his hand. As she paced, she cringed as she thought of her sharing a name with him, but it was her name too and he would not be allowed to take anything more from her. She nibbled on her bottom lip as she thought through her possibilities and the idea came to her. She would make a second last name, one entirely her own, one that described the change in her and separated her from her foul spouse. Finally, she had the perfect name, Rinato. From now on, she would be known as Rakira Ramsay-Rinato and she would have her revenge. For as her prized ring told her, they were Bound in Vengeance.
