Listing of Guild Elections

Much of guild history can be referenced by whom bore the mantle of guildmastery at the time.  Do you, or your guildmates, know your own guild history?  Over the years I've compiled listings of some of the guilds I have belonged to with known (and some estimated) dates of the succession of Guildmasters and Guildmistresses.  Although this may be a lengthy process to find this sort of data out, you might consider doing your own survey to compliment your apprentice studies.

Notes: Prior to there being a ranking of Grandmaster or Deputy Grandmaster, respected guild members were known as Guildheads.  Councils of guildheads, elders and the Guildmaster held great sway over guild-related events.

The Animists Guild

*Following this there is a 74-year lapse in guild election history.  It is believed that the helm of guildmastery shifted repeatedly during this period between Lugonn and Conteck, with Fiorella as an earlier Guildmistress.  Other possible guildmasters of the time include: Sharra and Firian.

893 | Guild records indicate Conteck is active as Guildmaster.
903 | Wintermute succeeds Conteck.
905 | Dankworth succeeds Wintermute, and so began his legacy.
916 | Karamis succeeds Dankworth.
926 | Conteck bests Karamis in a guild election to become one of the "greats".
936 | Olivia succeeds Karamis.
956 | Taliesin succeeds Olivia.
966 | Sirona becomes guildmistress.
989 | Nivea takes over the mantle of guildmistress as Sirona is ordained.

1092 | Aine takes over as Guildmistress.
1093 | Lyonesse succeeds Aine.

1100 | Elbethamore takes over as Lyonesse resigns, his second term.

(the above was a joke) In the Thieves guild, change in guildmastery is a rather big deal, actually. On the whole, decisions are made either through democratically decided change (eg myself), divine interference (eg Plaman's parallel leadership of the Thieves before the latest merge), or some kind of chaos (eg Alcarindel's unwilling handling after the Damocles/Demosthenes drama), so our history of guild leaders also parallels the tumultuous history of the guild itself.

Allanon - succeeded Cardodius until Jan. 1996
Tarkus - Jan. 1996 until Feb. 1996 (Due to an odd agreement to shuffle gmship through elders)
Allanon - Feb. 1996 until June 1996 (about 950 years after the Divine war)
Catt - about 950 until 1053
Allanon - 1053 until 1069
Alexandra - 1069 until 1216 which is the date of this posting
 
I believe this is fairly accurate though I may have missed something in the thousands of posts.
