Books
« on: June 04, 2008, 06:15:43 PM »
I have been writing a lot of books in Avalon, as there are very, very few as it is. These books are 5-100 pages long depending on the type. I have just finished a 15 page Book of Song, a song for each page, some longer then others. I will be working on a lot more. If you wish to view my books, just let me know. Likewise if there is a certain type of book or subject you would like to see, send me a msg.

Why don't you just put them in a library?

Because I'm not librarian of Parrius, yet. No one is.

Ask Aldaron for the title then!

Maud or myself can do it...(I'm fairly certain I can use all libraries). In any case, a god can also add books to libraries.

Granted, anything we add, we have to proofread and all that, so you'd better make sure they're up to scratch. :P

Aye, right now I'm proofreading them and  getting them ready to be put in

And I already asked Rhadamanthys and he said that was something I should ask Parrius. -_-

Yeah, Rhada just got back from like 6 months in Iraq. I'd avoid asking anything needed from him, as he's probably just getting used to things again.

If Nari can't, Kresslack, you might talk to a deity you get along with -- they might be able to add a tome in there.  If Aldaron isn't active in Avalon anymore (no idea but I miss him!), maybe try Apollo or Genesis. Are your songs Avalon-inspired?

Nope, they are just songs like Jethro Tull's "John Barleycorn" hence me not publishing them...

*arg* You know, Nari, the idea of adding ballads to Avalon's cultural heritage is a great idea.  Given the high standards required of the writing and the originality however, I understand you not publishing them (applaud you, even).  What you/he MIGHT consider is using them as an inspiration point for new material with that kind of folklore flair.  That could be a lot of fun.  Does Wyld still pop in now and again?  If not, maybe try the Public bb archives for some of her old Christmas songs.  Those are the closest I'm aware of as far as Avalon-related songs go that exist in-realm.  Unless, that is, the Lm's have a tome somewhere with all their songs in it...

Actually, some of them were origninal works by me, such as the one about the young rogue and the Mercinaean Knight. I have more time on my hands, and will be making more original works.
