Rynn's usual communication blunders aside, Katie worked very hard for her wings for quite a long time and I'm assuming this particular thread to be in character.
When I was born, she was one of the first to help me, even though I was Thakrian and she Springdalian. She was always sweet and kind and went beyond the par to assist me and my friends (whom I tended to get into the tiniest bits of trouble).
We've worked on rebuilding a broken Trade organization within a city practically on its knees to its enemies together, even though we vehemently disagreed upon what was right for that city. We've cried on each others' shoulders and screamed insults at each other over stupid things. I've been killed (repeatedly) at her feet, and restored, and seen her killed at mine, and been able to do nothing for her as she just comes back and picks up where she left off.
She believes what she believes strongly, and if she finds out she's wrong she makes a bona-fide effort to regroup and resort herself to find what's right, although sometimes her overall lack of confidence causes some issues, both for herself and for those who care about her.
I don't believe her personal triumphs, tragedies and conflicts in general have marred her, but have made her stronger, because it's much harder to pick yourself up and walk with your head held high after being dragged through the mud. I'd say she's my last choice of someone to ever go on a Rynnworthy decomp run, although who knows, pour enough booze into her and anything can happen...
Katie is a good, strong character who has shaped and affected the growth of many Avalonians of my generation, and is again in the lands to do that again in these new times. She is a maternal figure to many, good or evil, and a good moral example of Animism in action, in heart and in spirit.
