Light flares up about you as Apollo, the god of light appears.
Light Mistress Rhiannon gets down on her hands and knees and kneels before
Apollo, the god of light.
Telemna gets down on her hands and knees and kneels before Apollo, the god of
light.
You get down on your hands and knees and kneel before Apollo, the god of
light.
Light Mistress Rhiannon giggles happily.
Tranquil shrine to Apollo, the god of light.
You are able to see by the light of the lute. You find yourself in a small,
concealed sanctuary dedicated to the God of Light. This surreal sanctuary
seems to be characteristic of what you would expect from a bardic tale.
Around you, brilliantine light shines down from above through the leaves of
ancient trees and at the centre of this private retreat, small nymphs dance
about joyfully flittering and playing in the beams of light. The haven is in
the shape of a triangle and although you are in a small, enclosed space,
there are statues depicting the image of Apollo, the god of light at each
corner and bushy laurel trees line the enclosure. In one of these corners
stands a much larger statue than the others, with a small, ancient, modest,
wooden tabernacle standing before it. The altar, upon which this rests, is
made of what appears to be pure gold. A cushion of the finest silk,
intertwined with golden lace, depicting an image of the sun seated upon her
throne, lies at its base, evidently used for kneeling upon to pray. All
around, you feel a comforting vibe and you have much peace of mind, feeling
safer than ever before. There is not a sound but that of a bird singing
behind you. An awe inspiring golden phoenix is perched in one of the laurel
trees, singing heartily. However, you are unable to see this legendary bird
very clearly for the sun shines too brightly off its golden feathers and it
is just out of reach to touch, though would you dare disturb a bird of such
virtue? There is a distinct feeling of privacy here. Apollo, the god of light
is here, bathed in divine splendour. Light Mistress Rhiannon is here. Telemna
is here. An ethereal mist hangs in the air about Light Mistress Rhiannon. A
shiny pearl necklace adorned with a rose coloured cameo lies here.
You are able to see by the light of the lute. You notice a single exit, north.
Apollo is standing nearby, bathed in divine splendour. Apollo is wielding the
sword of the knights in his right hand, and nothing in his left.
Apollo, the god of light frowns uncertainly.
[snip - Rhiannon and me charging items]
A figure flits into view in the shadows of your mind.
Light Mistress Rhiannon successfully passes charge to a pearl and cameo
necklace.
You see, in your mind, Micheo, a Street Rat Named Desire shrouded in a cloak
of invisibility.
Light Mistress Rhiannon successfully passes charge to a pearl and cameo
necklace.
[snip - more charging]
Someone kneels to Apollo, the god of light.
Light Mistress Rhiannon successfully passes charge to a pearl and cameo
necklace.
Apollo, the god of light mumbles "Naur an edraith ammen!" and casts his divine
might.
A blast of white hot flame shoots across the sky.
Someone has just been struck by a blast of hot flame from above. You are
mildly surprised when after a matter of seconds all that remains are a few
pieces of charred teeth and bone.
Micheo has been slain by Apollo, the god of light.
Micheo returns to haunt Avalon as a ghost.
Micheo, a Street Rat Named Desire lets a deep-green emerald fall to the
ground.
Micheo, a Street Rat Named Desire rises again as a ghost to haunt Avalon
still.
Light Mistress Rhiannon says "Ooops!" with a sheepish grin.
Apollo, the god of light reaches into a cloud and pulls out an indigo potion.
a shadowy figure says, "That was mine actually".
Apollo, the god of light smiles and hands you an indigo potion.
Light Mistress Rhiannon successfully passes charge to a pearl and cameo
necklace.
Apollo, the god of light says, "I just saw you steal it in my presence".
a shadowy figure says, "I secreted it to him".
a shadowy figure says, "I was testing something".
The ghost of a shadowy figure is enveloped by a cloudy gas for a moment. After
a few seconds, the cloud disperses and a shadowy figure is no longer a ghost.
a shadowy figure finds himself suddenly sandwiched between two Guards of
Mercinae who escort him away silently for his presence here is unwelcome.
Through the palantir you see movement:
a shadowy figure has just departed.
Apollo, the god of light says, "Why?".
You scratch your head uncertainly.
[we go back to charging items... and a little bit later...]
Apollo, the god of light says, "He was planting a potion with a bug rune on
you".
You say, "Really? Was he? Cute.".
Telemna chuckles long and heartily.
Algernon speaks into the indigo potion: "Micheo. Can you hear me?"
Apollo, the god of light unattaches a bug-shaped rune from an indigo potion.
Telemna lets a musical laugh fall from her lips.
Apollo, the god of light unravels a bug-shaped rune and rolls it up into a ball of silver.
Apollo, the god of light says, "He can't anymore".
Your face breaks into an amiable grin.
Apollo, the god of light smiles and hands you an indigo potion.
Apollo, the god of light says, "Here, take the potion for your own use".
You get down on your hands and knees and kneel before Apollo, the god of
light.
