A cooler breeze drifts through, but the clear skies still smile upon you.

Maiden Thearo dismounts and tethers a chestnut pony securely.

Brekahn sits down.

Sir Oromis looks around, and motions for all to be as silent as possible during this ceremony.

Neidhart sits next to Zilveren.

Sir Amaraz walks up to the bottom of the dias.

The star-spangled sky glitters down at the temple, as Night shrouds the countryside.
Sir Oromis says, “Sir Amaraz, please kneel”

Alchemist of Compassion is here, surrounded by an aura of protection. She
wields an adamant longsword. Fig, of Mercinae is here. Tazlilly Luthien
Amaranth is here. Squire Liam, Defender of the Faithful is here. He wields a
copper longsword. Maiden Thearo of Mercinae is here, surrounded by an aura of
protection. She wields a silver longsword. Ranger Cub Kinjin is here. Book
Wormer Intellectual Druidess is here. A golden eagle proudly bears her.
Heavenly Katie Foraois, Alis Volat Propriis is here. A friendly-looking,
chestnut pony grazes nearby. The pony is called Fluffy. There is a coil of
rope here. An ethereal mist hangs in the air about Brekahn.

Sir Amaraz kneels before Sir Oromis.

Sir Amaraz bows his head respectivly.
Sir Oromis motions to the crowd saying, "Today we gather to formally induct Sir Amaraz into the profession of Knight, before our glorious guild patron, Lord Apollo.”

Apprentice Wizard Cobodman nods his head emphatically.

Apprentice Wizard Cobodman sits down.
Sir Oromis says, “Amaraz has shown, over the last several month, to be dedicated and mature in his actions”
Sir Oromis says, “Today, we come to the end of his apprenticeship, and the beginning of his profession”

Sir Oromis says, “Amaraz, what qualities define a knight?”
Herbalist Zilveren smiles softly as her pipe is lit by a gentle breeze.
Sir Amaraz says, "Honor, truthfulness, bravery, and the will to defend those
who cannot defend themselves.".
 
Sir Amaraz says, "To help the poor, the weary, the broken hearted, and to live
a truthfull and pure life.".


Herbalist Zilveren's pipe glimmers for a moment, before going out.

Herbalist Zilveren lights her pipe.
Sir Oromis says, “And to who does a knight always stay loyal?
Sir Amaraz says, "His land and Leige, and his respectival peers.".

Herbalist Zilveren grins most serene, tapping her pipe.

Sir Amaraz says, "But first, to himself.".
Sir Oromis places his adamant longsword before Amaraz, the tip poised before his throat.

Sir Amaraz says, "For the world is filled with decievers,and only the heart
can sort the truth from the lies.".
Sir Oromis says, “A knight fears nothing, and holds the respect of even his enemies”

Sir Amaraz looks deep into Sir Oromis' eyes.
Sir Oromis lowers his sword.

Sir Oromis says. “Amaraz, do you swear to uphold the ideals of Light, to drive darkness from the land, and to banish evil from all those who are lead astray?”

Sir Amaraz says, "I am no longer a Paladin.".

Sir Amaraz says, "So instead, I offer to serve my land, my leige, my Guild
Master and fellows.".

Fig smiles openly.
Sir Oromis says, “It is fitting.”

Sir Amaraz says, "This I will do whole heartedly, till the day I die.".

Sir Amaraz says, "I swear.".
Sir Oromis says, “Do you swear to bestow compassion upon all, including your enemies”

Sir Amaraz says, "I do so swear.".
Sir Oromis says, “Do you swear to deliver Mercy on those who plead forgiveness, and call for such?”

Sir Amaraz says, "I do so swear to deliver mercy on those who plead
frogivness, and call for such.".

The cooler breeze subsides, allowing the warm air to surround you.
Sir Oromis says, “Do you swear to uphold your own honour, and always be riteous, no matter what odds and evils you face?”

Sir Amaraz says, "I swear not only to uphold my honor, but the honor of my
fellows."

Dawn ascends her golden throne and flecks the morning sky with red.

Sir Amaraz says, "I also swear to be rightous in all aspects fo my
profession.".

Apprentice Wizard Cobodman nods his head emphatically.
Sir Oromis says, “And finally, do you swear to uphold the grace of Lord Apollo, the grace of the Knights, and the grace of Mercinae?”

Sir Amaraz says, "I swear to uphold the grace of Apollo, as well as Genesis,
my fellow Knights and fighting brethern, and the grace of the City of
Light.".

Sir Oromis places his adamant longsword on Sir Amaraz's shoulder.

Viktar says, "Oh my".

Viktar flails his stave in an arc about his head.

Viktar says, "Lots of people here".

Herbalist Zilveren says, "Sit and be quiet Viktar".

Tazlilly says, "Shhh".

Sir Amaraz bows his head respectivly.
Sir Oromis says “Arise, Sir Amaraz, and rejoyce for you are now a Knight of Mercinae. May Apollo watch over you always.”

Tazlilly gives Sir Amaraz a round of applause.

Sir Amaraz rises and embraces his brother Oromis.
Sir Oromis says, “You may all speak freely.”

Sir Amaraz grins in an amiable manner.

Neidhart offers Sir Amaraz heartfelt congratulations.

Herbalist Zilveren gives Sir Amaraz a round of applause.
Maiden Thearo cheers wildly!

Book Wormer offers Sir Amaraz heartfelt congratulations.

Herbalist Zilveren brushes down her clothes and rises to her feet.

It's nice to see things like this. Trakea has a ceremony he does for his knights, too. It's a great way to "join" the profession.

The Animists have one too, I was hoping Katie would post it but now she's left the realm, not sure who will be.  I think I've got an old log/example somewhere in the archives.  Ceremonies are definately a great RP method in the land.

Agreed!  I had the honor of witnessing a ceremony to complete the apprenticeship of an animist, when I was still a newborn, and it impressed me greatly.
