What began as a quiet summer day heated up rapidly as reports of the deaths of two groups of followers spread like brush-fire. Followers of Justice and Chaos were the victims of a divine onslaught which only increased with intensity. Citizens of Avalon looked to the skies as the gods contested their might.
The skies cracked with lightning which pierced the very firmament of the landscape. A cry of agony resounded as Uwoiame the thief and Dunccan, high priest of Justice were struck and slain. Their bodies had not yet grown cold as the ground rumbled and mortal eyes everywhere looked overhead as Castigere, the god of justice and Damocles, the god of chaos, faced off.
Searing white light issued forth from their fingers struck like mortal blows upon both deities and the sparks flew from the impact, smiting their followers. Pneuman and Plaman fell then beside their brethren.
With a sneer, Lord Damocles issued a divine curse and the soul of Dunccan rose to loom amongst the undead. Lord Castigere responded in kind, cursing the souls of Uwoiame, Plaman and Pneuman to the realm of the undead.
